Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of UNS beta, including domain registration, marketplace features, wallet-connected flows, and related on-chain services (collectively, the "Service") operated by [Operator legal entity name — to be confirmed] ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, connecting a wallet, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
1. Definitions
In these Terms: "Platform" means the websites, APIs, and interfaces through which we provide the Service. "Domain" means a name registered or managed through the Service on supported networks. "Listing" means an offer to sell or rent a Domain on the marketplace. "User", "you", or "your" means any person or entity using the Service. "Seller" and "Buyer" mean Users offering or acquiring Domains through the marketplace. "Custodial Wallet" means a wallet provisioned or managed by us to perform registrations, renewals, or settlements on your behalf. "On-chain Transaction" means a transaction recorded on a supported blockchain.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
You may not use the Service if you are located in, ordinarily resident in, or subject to sanctions or export restrictions that prohibit your use of blockchain or marketplace services.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, email verification codes, and any wallet you connect. Activity under your account or connected wallet is your responsibility unless you notify us promptly of unauthorized access.
We process personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. Cookie and analytics choices are described in our Cookie Policy.
3. Domain registration, renewal, and expiration
Domains are registered for a stated term and must be renewed before expiration. Failure to renew may result in loss of registration rights according to protocol and ecosystem rules.
Registration, renewal, batch subdomain registration, and related fees are displayed before you confirm payment. Partial batch failures may occur on-chain; you are responsible for reviewing per-item results.
You may not register or use Domains that infringe trademarks or intellectual property, impersonate others, facilitate fraud, or violate applicable law. We may suspend listings or accounts and cooperate with rights holders.
Domain disputes (e.g., trademark conflicts) may be handled through our internal review process. Unless otherwise stated, standard ICANN UDRP procedures may not apply. We may update dispute procedures as the Service matures.
- Domains are not permanent assets; renewal is required.
- Availability checks and quotes do not guarantee successful on-chain registration.
- We do not guarantee any particular Domain string will remain available.
4. Marketplace and secondary sales
Sellers may list Domains for sale or rent subject to protocol constraints. Buyers purchase at listed prices or as shown at checkout. We facilitate discovery, order flow, and settlement coordination; on-chain transfer is executed via smart contracts and supported wallets.
Once an On-chain Transaction is confirmed, ownership transfer is generally irreversible. Verify Domain name, price, payment token, and network before confirming.
You may not engage in wash trading, price manipulation, fraudulent listings, or other activity that distorts the marketplace.
When completing a purchase, you agree to these Terms and any checkout-specific disclosures shown at the time of payment.
5. Payments, fees, and refunds
Supported payment methods may include tokens on Openverse (e.g., BTG) and BSC (e.g., USDC, USDT), as shown in the interface. Network gas and protocol fees are your responsibility unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Cryptocurrency payments are generally final and non-refundable except where required by law or where we determine a duplicate charge or material system error occurred.
You are responsible for all applicable taxes, duties, and reporting obligations related to your use of the Service.
Displayed fiat equivalents or estimates are for convenience only and may differ from on-chain settlement amounts.
6. Wallets and on-chain transactions
You may connect third-party wallets (e.g., MetaMask, FayPay/Openverse) or use a Custodial Wallet we provision for certain flows. You are solely responsible for transactions you authorize via connected wallets.
We do not custody private keys for self-custodied wallets. Custodial Wallets are used only within the scope described in the product interface for registrations, renewals, marketplace settlement, or similar operations.
Blockchain networks may experience congestion, forks, upgrades, or failures. We are not liable for delays, failed transactions, or losses caused by network conditions, user error, or incorrect addresses.
7. Referral and agent program
Invite links, referral codes, and agent programs may offer commissions or benefits subject to separate rules shown in the product. We may modify, suspend, or terminate programs to prevent abuse.
Commissions are not guaranteed, may be clawed back in case of fraud or chargebacks, and you are responsible for your own tax reporting.
8. Points, rewards, and withdrawals
Wallet balances, points, or seller proceeds displayed in the Service may be subject to minimum withdrawal amounts, review, and on-chain payout delays.
We may refuse or delay withdrawals where fraud, sanctions, legal process, or policy violations are suspected. Additional verification may be required.
9. Rental listings
Where rent features are enabled, rental terms (duration, deposit, per-day price) are shown at listing and checkout. Landlords and tenants must comply with on-chain lease parameters and applicable law.
Rental features may be limited by protocol flags (e.g., rent_enabled) and Domain expiration dates.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or deceptive purposes.
- Distribute malware, phishing pages, or content that violates third-party rights.
- Circumvent security, rate limits, or access controls.
- Scrape or overload the Service without permission.
- Misrepresent affiliation with us or supported ecosystems.
11. Intellectual property and complaints
The Platform, branding, software, and documentation are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms do not grant you ownership of our intellectual property.
Registering a Domain does not grant rights in third-party trademarks (including ecosystem or protocol names).
If you believe content or listings infringe your rights, contact legal@example.com with sufficient detail for us to review. We may remove or disable access to disputed material where appropriate.
12. Beta disclaimer
UNS beta is offered on an "as is" and "as available" basis during beta. Features may change, be withdrawn, or contain defects.
We are not a bank, broker, or investment adviser. Tokens and Domains are not deposits or securities. Nothing in the Service constitutes financial, legal, or tax advice.
Smart contracts and experimental protocols involve risk. You should only use funds you can afford to lose.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, Domains, or digital assets.
Our aggregate liability arising from the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) amounts you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the claim or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (USD 100), except where liability cannot be limited under mandatory consumer protection laws.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where such limitation is prohibited by law.
14. Indemnification
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless us and our affiliates, officers, and agents from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your Domains, your listings, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
15. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service, remove listings, or restrict features if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, pose a security risk, or are required to do so by law.
You may stop using the Service at any time. Termination does not affect On-chain Transactions already confirmed or obligations accrued before termination.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted on the Platform and, where appropriate, notified by email or in-product notice at least 30 days before they take effect.
Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.
17. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence require otherwise.
If you are a consumer in the European Union or United Kingdom, you retain mandatory statutory rights that cannot be waived by contract.
